Global and local problems in preserving

wildlife habitats.

The main local concern we have is the appalling attitude of Hastings Borough Council in trying to build houses inside the Park boundary.

The council agreed in writing that a green space was required between Hastings & St Leonards and Bexhill and councillor sit on the Park committee – and yet there are still plans to build on land inside the agreed and documented boundary on Bexhill Road Recreation Ground.

This area is prone to flooding every winter and insurance companies will not insure the homes. The photos shows what the planned building location looks like in winter. Yet the area is becoming richer in wildlife variety and the last thing we need is compulsory housing estates.
